The agreement on freight train traffic across Transnistria has been extended by one year. Prime Minister Vlad Filat and Transnistrian leader Yevgeniy Shevchuk signed a document on the matter on September 26.

Prime Minister Vlad Filat held a meeting with Transnistrian leader Yevgeniy Shevchuk at 16:00. The meeting took place at the state residence and lasted for about two hours.

Moreover it is important for us to ensure the free movement. We discussed the problems of motor transportation,» Filat said.

Transnistrian leader Yevgeniy Shevchuk said the meeting with the Moldovan prime minister was constructive. «We should remove the economic and movement barriers, and settle the old problems. We are open for dialogue,» Shevchuk said.
