Simferopol will host round table «Stability in the Black Sea region: external and intraregional threats and ways to overcome them»

The round table will take place on November 16-17, 2012 at the Crimean Science Center of the Ukrainian National Academy of Science.

It will organized by the Black Sea Region Security and Cooperation Problems Research Center (Simferopol).

The list of the round table participants will include Black Sea countries’ leading experts on regional problems, including: Dr. Nejat Tarakci and Dr. Ismail Togrul (Turkey), Mincho Minchev (Bulgaria), Levan Metreveli (Georgia), Katalin Turliuk (Romania), Andrey Areshev (Russia), Sergey Yurchenko (Ukraine, Autonomous Republic of Crimean), and others.

The discussion will be focused on the following topics: problems of international collaboration, peace support, and collective security in the Black Sea region; influence of the global economic recession and Middle East events upon life and relationship between the countries of the region; and «old» internal and international conflicts in the Black Sea region and ways of their resolution.

Representatives of the expert community will also share their opinions on other important aspects of the public and political situation in the region, problems and perspectives of the regional humanitarian collaboration.
