Thursday, July 25. SEVASTOPOL – Brazilian Navy Frigate Constituicao visits Sevastopol, reported http://www.mil.gov.ua.
Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of Ukrainian Navy Rear Admiral Dmytro Shakuro met with Rear Admiral Antonio Reginaldo Pontes Lima Junior, Commander of Brazilian Naval Surface Forces, frigate commander, as well as Mr. Antonio Fernando Kruz de Mello, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil. Rear Admiral Dmytro Shakuro stressed the arrival of this frigate is the first such visit and it will contribute to development of contacts of Ukrainian and Brazilian military naval servicemen.
The high officials exchanged opinions related to prospects of counter-piracy naval cooperation of both fleets, development of military technical cooperation.
The guests will visit Training Centre for Naval Operations to participate in workshops on ships protection and checking operations; the Ukrainian personnel will visit the Brazilian frigate.
