300 km of hiking routes to be restored across Vitosha Mountain

By the end of 2014 some 300 kilometers of tourist routes will be restored in the Vitosha Mountain by the capital Sofia.

This restoration will be done under a project entitled «Activities for the sustainable management of Vitosha Natural Park». The project is sponsored by the European Fund for regional development and through the country’s budget under the Environmental Protection 2007-2013 Operational Programme. The project would cost EUR 800 thousand and will cover woods, grounds and water compounds, restoration of tourist infrastructure and the opening of education programmes.
