Turkey won the Oscar of tourism
World Award in the field of tourism, called «Tourism Oscars», World Travel Awards in 2012 found their owners in Europe. Most awards went to Turkey. This is reported in the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine, for UNN.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the fourth time was the «best tourist organization in Europe», and Izmir was awarded as the «Best cruise destination in Europe».
Izmir is the second time has been recognized by the most prestigious global tourism competition. In 2011 it was awarded by the «Best cruise destination in Europe», in the current year Izmir competed with strong tourist centers such as Amsterdam, Athens, Cannes, Copenhagen, Dubrovnik, Lisbon, Oslo, Reykjavik, St. Petersburg and Venice.
WTA - worldwide competition in the tourism and travel, which determines the best representatives of Europe in 69 categories ranging from airlines to hotels, travel agents to the tourist destinations.
