Bulgarian cabinet creates emergency unit on Syrian crisis
The Bulgarian cabinet has created a special operational unit on the ongoing crisis in Syria, stated Vice-PM and Minister of Interior Tsvetlin Yovchev.
Yovchev spoke Friday after a 3-hour sitting of the Security Council at the Bulgarian Council of Ministers.
The operational unit will have two divisions, said Yovchev - one at the Ministry of Interior in Sofia, and a tactical one located in the municipalities of Haskovo and Elhovo nearby the border with Turkey.
According to the Bulgarian Vice-PM, all risks for the country were thoroughly assessed, and will continued to be in the future, as events develop.
The world is on edge after the US stated it his highly likely to launch a strike on Syria after an alleged use of chemical weapons on the part of the forces of President Bashar Al-Assad.
