Government to consider state guarantees for CLAAS combines production in Kherson

The Cabinet of Ministers will consider providing government guarantees under the joint investment project of Kherson Machine-Building Plant and CLAAS for production of modern harvesters, First Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov announced this at a Cabinet's meeting on Thursday.

"The government is ready to support a joint investment project of Kherson Machine-Building Plant and CLAAS to produce modern harvesters. Joint production has already begun. By the way, today the first harvester is to appear, which was jointly developed by CLAAS and the Kherson combine company. The first test combines have rolled off the assembly ... I instruct ministers Prysiazhniuk and Prasolov to examine the conditions of the project and to consider the possibility of granting state guarantees," the first deputy prime minister emphasized.

Arbuzov noted that by 2020 it is planned to reach production capacity of 7,688 vehicles, including in 2013 - 350 units. CLAAS plans to invest UAH 1.7 billion in the project.
