More than 500 pieces of ammunition, found at the coast, set off near Odessa

556 pieces of ammunition of the World War II period have been found at the Odessa coast.

According to the press service of the Regional Department of the State Service on Emergencies, the shells have been discovered by builders, erecting a new building at the coast area. In fact, at first they have informed about forty 45-mm caliber shells, but the bomb squad experts, arrived after their call, have revealed more than half a thousand of dangerous finding. The list of them has included 172 bombshells of 45-mm caliber, eleven 152-mm caliber shells, and 152 mortar shells of 82-mm caliber, 31 grenades of F-1 type, and a number of cartridges.

All dangerously explosive objects revealed were withdrawn and defused on July 6 by the pyrotechnic group of the search-and-rescue special mission unit.
