Georgia will never start war against Abkhazia and South Ossetia

The new cabinet will never make the same mistakes as the previous one and will not use force against the break-away republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the country's Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili told the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

"The previous authorities have made many mistakes in relations with Abkhazia and South Ossetia. We will not repeat these mistakes," Ivanishvili said.

The incumbent prime minister also slammed the violence rhetoric used by President Mikhail Saakashvili. According to Ivanishvili, Saakashvili's retorts led only to escalation in the Russian-Georgian relations.
