Natural gas price raised in Transnistria for private enterprises

Beginning with new year the price of natural gas for private enterprises in Transnistria has grown. This decision was taken by the region’s authorities in late December, Moldpres informs.

Gas price for non-state enterprises has been raised by 1.65 times. If in 2012 it was US$ 150-160, depending on the enterprise, in 2013 it reached $247 per cubic meter.

Currently, natural gas is purchased from a Russian supplier at $394.4 per cubic meter.

At the same time, gas prices for population and state-owned enterprises will not go up, authorities have assured. Now population pays for one cubic meter 0.82 PMR ruble subject to limit and 1 PMR ruble (about 10 U.S. cents) when this limit is exceeded.
