Bucharest public transport to follow Sunday schedules over Xmas

Over Christmas buses, trolleybuses and trams will follow the Sunday schedule and metro trains will arrive between every four and ten minutes on January 1 and 2, according to the local press.

Bucharest Transportation (RATB) announced that on December 26, 26, 29, 30, 31 and January 1,2,5,6 buses, trolleybuses and trams will follow a Sunday schedule. On December 24, 27,28 and January 3 and 4, RATB will run a normal work day schedule.

On New Year’s Eve in Bucharest, buses will run on the 24 night lines at intervals of 40 minutes. Also on New Year’s Eve, trams on lines 1 will run every 20 minutes and on line 41, at intervals of 15 minutes.

Metro trains will operate December 25, 26 and January 1,2 at intervals of four to ten minutes, and if needed, Metrorex will run additional trains.
