Varna Governor and his deputies discharged

Prime-Minister Boiko Borisov has ousted Varna region Governor Dancho Simeonov and his deputies Slavcho Slavov and Nikolai Niagolov.

This decision was announced at the Government meeting on October 24 and confirmed by the press service of the Council of Ministers.

According to the latest information, the current Varna Major Deputy Kosta Bazitov has been appointed as the new Governor, and the former rear admiral Plamen Manushev will become his deputy.

The reason for such reshuffle is not clear by now. However, the information has leaked into the mass media that such rigorous measures are grounded on the September scandal with unlawful sale of 5093 hectares of state lands in the Kanayol locality under the official price of 16837 levs – that is 3 levs per square meter.

This land lot directly borders with the sea shore.
