Moldova, Russia sign memorandum of understanding in interregional cooperation

Moldovan Regional Development and Construction Minister Marcel Raducan and Russian Regional Development Minister Oleg Govorun on September 11 signed a memorandum of understanding in the interregional cooperation sector in Moscow. 

The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the 10-12 September visit to Moscow by Moldova's official delegation, headed by Prime Minister Vlad Filat.

The head of the Regional Development and Construction Ministry's press service, Ecaterina Grigorean, said the memorandum will contribute to boosting the interregional cooperation between Moldova and Russia, and will ensure a lasting social and economic development in the regions of both countries. At the same time, the document's goal is to further strengthen the strategic cooperation relations and partnership between Moldova and Russia, and friendship relations between the nations of the two countries.

Under the memorandum, the sides will further contribute to enlarging the interregional cooperation between the countries, including in the accessible dwellings, rehabilitation and exploitation of the dwelling fund. Also, they will exchange experience, implement common projects, start cooperation trends within their competences and in line with the international legislation and obligations of the two states.
