Russian Baltic Sea Ports Petroleum Products Imports to the EU Embargo: Database of July 2024 Violations

The Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies and BlackSeaNews reports on the results of its own monitoring of violations of the EU and G7 embargo on the seaborne imports of Russian petroleum products into EU countries and the US (the embargo) from the ports on the Baltic Sea in July 2024 (see Table 1).

In July 2024, 4 violations (168.974 tons) of the EU embargo on seaborne imports of Russian petroleum products (excluding crude oil) to the transshipment points and EU ports from the Baltic Sea were recorded.

The voyages were made by tankers belonging to shipowners registered in the following countries: Italy (2), Greece (1) and Azerbaijan (1).
