Georgia wants to participate in celebration of Taras Shevchenko's 200th birth anniversary.

The press service of the Culture Ministry of Ukraine informs about this.

“First Deputy Culture Minister Tymofiy Kokhan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine Michail Ukleba agreed on intensification of cooperation between Ukraine and Georgia in the sphere of culture at a working meeting on August 7. They discussed holding the Days of Georgian Culture in Ukraine in 2014, which will envisage a number of cultural-artistic events in Kyiv, Lviv, Donetsk and Odesa. Ukleba expressed readiness of the Georgian side to participate in celebration of the 200th birth anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. The matter also concerned cooperation in the museum sector,” a statement reads.
