Sochi will welcome August with "Aquajazz"

Jazz Festival "Aquajazz" will additionally enliven city of Sochi for the fourth time this August, gathering the stars of American and Russian jazz. Four-day festival will be held in the framework of the Cultural Olympiad "Sochi-2014"; among the headliners are the quintet of the famous trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis and the world-famous vocal group Take 6.

"Thanks to the support of the regions, the best jazz bands of Russia will also arrive to Sochi  - Ural Dixieland, Sergei Koren Project, Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, jazz orchestra Visit, the septet of Adam Teratsuyan, Big Band Sochi and Sergei Pronya's band Sochi ProJazz  . Among other participants of the festival are Polina Zizak, the star of the TV project "The Voice"; well-known trumpet players, saxophonists and pianists,  RIA Novosti reports, quoting
the message of Sochi-2014 Organizing Committee.

Traditionally, the festival will open with a jazz parade led by Igor Butman. The parade will be held in the park "Riviera" on August 1. The Winter Theater scene will host chamber music concerts, while the hall "Festival" will be the place for the gala concert "Igor Butman and the future of jazz." At the end of the evening, combined Moscow jazz orchestra, conducted by Butman, will have fiery jam session.
