Plamen Oresharski talks in Brussels with Anders Fogh Rasmussen

The Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski who is paying a working visit to Brussels has assured the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen that the new Bulgarian government will secure continuity with regard to the foreign policies and the country’s engagements towards the North-Atlantic Alliance.

Bulgaria will participate in the missions in Afghanistan next year within the range of its powers, said Premier Oresharski. He also said that Bulgaria will support the integration of all its neighboring countries from the Western Balkans in NATO.

Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that Bulgaria has a significant contribution to the establishment of the security, including Kosovo. Rasmussen defined Bulgaria as a key partner in the fight against corruption in the defence field.
