Greek national holiday to be celebrated in the Crimean Bilohirsk district on June 3

The Greek national holiday, called Panair, devoted to Holy Constantine and Elena, Equal-to-the-Apls, will take place at Chernopolye village of the Bilohirsk district on June 3.

Every year Greeks from all corners of the Crimea come to Chernopolye on June 3 to celebrate Panair. After the service at the church all participants of the holiday move to the holy source for ablution.

They bring icons and holy banners with them. After the prayer they cook a fare, called «kromidato», in large kettles. They have a joint meal and then some street festivities are arranged.
