Carriers block roads to Turkey

Bulgarian carriers blocked, Thursday morning, Bulgaria’s checkpoints Kapitan Andreevo and Lessovo between Bulgaria and Turkey.

The reasons are the sanctions imposed by the Turkish side. According to the carriers the Turkish authorities are constantly stopping their carriage for days with no explanation. This is the second protest within a week’s time.

On Thursday before the elections the Bulgarian side received Turkey’s assurance that until talks are held between the ministers of transport of the two countries, Bulgarian trucks will be let into the country with no delay or complications. According to the carriers, however, dozens of trucks have been held for 24 hours before passing the border.
