45 children went missing in 2012

Forty five children in Bulgaria went missing in 2012, said the Deputy Minister of Interior Philip Gunev. He attended the presentation of the project for implementation of a national system for alert of missing and kidnapped children in Bulgaria.

The project is financed by the European Commission and will be completed by the end of 2013. There are similar systems in 12 other EU countries. Among them are Poland and Romania which will exchange experience with Bulgaria in the matter.
