SOCAR to invest €50 million into Romanian projects in 2013

The State Oil and Gas Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to expand its activities in Romania. The Company’s statement says that SOCAR investments in Romania in 2013 will amount to €50 million.

At present Company’s investments in Romania have reached €20 million. 14 gas stations under the SOCAR brand have been already commissioned at the north-east of the country. The Company intends to launch additional 20 gas stations in 2013, Nefterynok informs.

The statement emphasizes that the launch of three new SOCAR gas stations in Romanian cities of Bacau, Focşani, and Roman will take place in the near future, and the Company’s perspectives include the commissioning of new stations in Transylvania and the southern regions of the country.
