Protesters face crackdown in Istanbul

The police of Istanbul are driving protesters supporting suspects of the 2003 coup attempt away. Water cannons and tear gas is used.

Over 300 people are suspected of the coup. Some of them were sentenced in September 2012.

Turkish opposition accuses Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of using the coup as an example for persecution of opposition.
