Two customs posts on Moldovan-Ukrainian border closed

Two customs posts located on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border – «Soroca-Tsekinovka» and «Cosauti-Iampoli» – were closed temporarily following an increase in the level of water in the Nistr River.

Alina Sargu, press officer of the Customs Service of Moldova, has told IPN that the vehicles can cross the border through the Otaci-Moghiliov-Podolsk customs post. There are three customs posts on the Nistru.

Elina Plesca, first vice director of the State Hydrometeorology Service, has told IPN that the level of water in the Nistru rose by 1.5-2 meters and can rise to 3 meters until April 11.
