On March 28, 2013 the Border Police announced that the joint control border crossing points Medveja-Zelionaia and Cosauti-Iampoli had resumed their activity. Ukrainian access routes had been unblocked, whereas the water level in the Prut River had come back to normal.

According to the Border Police, both Ukrainian and Romanian border crossing points with Moldova are currently functional.

The activity of several crossing points at the northern Moldovan-Ukrainian border was suspended on 23 March, amid heavy snowfalls and strong wind.
