Conference on Black Sea Security program, organized by SRI and Presidency, with Harvard University support

The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) and the Presidential Administration, through the agency of the National Security Department, on March 18-20 organize in Bucharest the conference titled '15 Years of Commitment, Success and Way Forward,' under the aegis of the Harvard Black Sea Security Program (BSSP) of the US Harvard University, where they will discuss the Black Sea Security program, informs SRI.

«The program brings together important factors making political, military, economic and academic decisions in the Wider Black Sea Region, Europe and the US. The event marks the 15th anniversary of the program and plans to create a moment of reflection on the achievements and developments that have occurred in the past 15 years regionally, but without forgetting the existing challenges and also the opportunities that have not yet been turned to account regionally and more than that,» informs SRI in a release it sent to Agerpres on March 18.

The conference will gather together representatives of the governmental environment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defence, of the intelligence and academic field, which is represented by the National Institute of Intelligence Studies. The experts in the states of the Black Sea region will also attend. They will offer a prospect of the questions under consideration, namely representatives from Armenia, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, the US, Turkey and Ukraine.
