Moldova to shift to summer time on 31 March

Moldova will shift to summer time on 31 March 2013, simultaneously with other EU member-states.

According to the government’s decision, Moldova will switch to the official daylight saving time in the last Sunday of March, which means clocks would be turned one hour forward, so instead of 14:00 it would be 15:00 o’clock.

The implementation of the summer time started in the early 20th century in order to save as much natural daylight as possible during spring and summer.
