Turkish PM denies amnesty of Kurdish militants

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, leader of the Justice and Development Party, said that Kurdish militants will not be pardoned regardless of agreements reached with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.

Turkish intelligence officers renewed negotiations with Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, a convict on the Imrali Island in the Marmara Sea, in late 2012 to disarm Kurdish militants and resolve the long-lasting Turkish-Kurdish conflict.
