Crimea among top ten Ukrainian regions on investments

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Crimean economy got $343.4 million of foreign investments in 2012.

Starting from 1994, $1.46 billion were invested to the Crimea, giving the Republic the 8th position on the total volume of direct investments among the regions of Ukraine. The Crimea is also ranked 5th on the volume of direct investments per capita ($748.6).

Industrial sector is still the most attractive industry for investments, concentrating almost a half of all investments attracted from 1994 – $646.9 million. The top three of the most attractive sectors also include the hotel business ($405.2 million) and real estate operations ($197.6 million).
