Georgia to set up Tourism Council

According to the National Tourism Administration, the relevant document was signed in February 20 by the First Deputy Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development Dmitry Kumsishvili.

According to Business Georgia, the Council will be set up under the initiative of the tourism industry representatives and will cooperate with the Ministry of Economics and the National Tourism Administration.

The list of aims of the future Council includes consideration of global issues in the tourism field and development of recommendations for arrangement of proper trends and directions of tourism development.

The voting right in the Council will be given to the Tourism Association, Association of Tour Operators, Association of Guides, Association of Private Employment Agencies, and the National Tourism Administration at the Ministry of Economics and Sustainable Development.
