Russia and Azerbaijan demarcate borders

Garib Mamedov, Chairman of the State Committee for Land and Cartography of Azerbaijan, said that Azerbaijan and Russia will soon demarcate borders, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan and Russia have delimited 390km of their frontier, their parliaments ratified the agreement on state border.

280km out of 480km of the Georgian border have been delimited. Azerbaijani and Iranian specialists are enforcing river banks and demarcating the border.

The committee is also determining the legal status of the Caspian Sea and delimiting its sectors. Sectors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia have been set.
