Spa tourism, promotion of legends, key to attracting higher number of foreign tourists to Romania

The Romanian tourism continues to have a low share in Romania's GDP, Minister-delegate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Tourism and Business Milieu Maria Grapini told a specialist conference.

For this reason, she added, higher attention must be given to the development of the spa tourism and the promotion of the Romanian legends, for example.

'There are several things in the tourism domain that have not been given attention so far, things that could bring more tourists (to Romania). As a result, I decided to focus on the spa tourism, considering that Romania owns 30 percent of the all-in thermal waters in Europe. In addition, we need to rediscover the Romanian legends and reveal them to the people visiting us, following the example of many other countries,' Grapini said.
