Reporters Without Borders dubs Turkey prison for journalists

The Reporters Without Borders international human rights organization has published its annual rating of freedom of press and called Turkey a prison for journalists, RIA Novosti reports.

Turkey was put on the 154th position in the rating, losing 6 points, compared with the previous year’s rating.

Despite the third package of court reforms passed in Turkey in 2012, journalists writing about terrorism are often accused of supporting terrorists and jailed.
