Parliament endorses draft bill on Intelligence state agency

The National Assembly adopted at first reading the draft bill on the Intelligence State Agency. The draft regulates the entire range of intelligence activities in Bulgaria with the exception of the military intelligence, which is suggested to be under a separate bill.

The Intelligence State Agency will be under the direct command of the Council of Ministers. A special text formulated the idea that the Agency would not be given tasks of political character. The cooperation with intelligence services of other countries is also regulated through this bill.
