Georgia attracts investors to build a metallurgical mill in Poti

A metallurgical mill will appear near the Georgian city of Poti, and approximately $250 million will be invested into its construction. The Minister of Economy has received representatives of investors to discuss this issue, Vestnik Kavkaza informs.

Businessman Niko Lekishvili has stated that the territory for construction had been already assigned near the Poti Port, and the project details are currently clarified. According to the businessman, the funds for construction will be invested partially by a German and Turkish company and partially – by the Eurasian Development Bank.

Georgian Ministry of Finance forecasts that in 2013 the country will set up a new record in attraction of investments, exceeding the 2007 result of $2 billion.
