WB lowers prognosis for Bulgaria’s economic growth

The World Bank has lowered its prognosis for the growth of Bulgaria’s economy in 2013 and the following year.

In its annual report on global economy the bank prognosticates a slow down of world economy. Bulgaria stands in one group with the countries of the Balkan Peninsula and Central Asia. The prognosis for Bulgaria for the current year is for an economic growth of 1.8%. Forecasts for Bulgaria issued mid-2012 were for an economic growth of 2.5% for 2013 and 3.3% in 2014. The prognosis of the bank is close to the GDP growth of 1.9% listed in the state budget.
