Saakashvili proposes to decriminalize economic crimes

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili has proposed to decriminalize economic crimes.

«It is related to the deteriorating economic situation in the country and the fact that this year began with a low business activity. We now need to facilitate the flow of investment,» the current head of the state said. Saakashvili suggested comprehensive economic amnesty.

Saakashvili also proposed to adopt a law on privacy. Under this law any distribution of personal information about the lives of Georgian citizens will be criminally persecuted.

The third proposal of Saakashvili was the distribution of life pensions to the families of the deceased military and the twofold increase of military pensions.

All the initiatives have been directed to the parliament.
