Azerbaijan still does not see any reason to join Customs Union, EEA and WTO

Azerbaijan sees no "special benefit from joining the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space," as well as it does not desire to become member of the World Trade Organization, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview to Russia-24.

Ilham Aliyev said that the economic situation in Azerbaijan is quite stable, which results in sufficient foreign currency reserves, large reserves of natural resources.

He noted that Azerbaijan is a member of the Non-aligned Movement: "This is an important, necessary, timely and significant step. Thus, we emphasize its openness to the world," Aliyev said.
