Krasnodar Region is concerned about seismic activity in the Black Sea

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck near the shores of Sochi and the Republic of Abkhazia, the Sochi Seismic Center reports.

The quake’s epicenter was registered 40 km west of the Sochi shore.

The earthquake was so strong that it was felt in Tbilisi, 300 kilometers from the epicenter. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage after the earthquake.

The Black Sea region is prone to frequent earthquakes.
