Two new archaeological parks are planned to be created in Crimea

Parks «Tarkhankut» in the AR Crimea Chernomorsky district and «Eastern» in Leninsky district are planned to be created in 2013.

According to the deputy head of the AR Crimea Committee on the Protection of Cultural Heritage Mrs. Natalya Grinenko, these parks will be part of the peninsula’s archaeological sites, along with the Simferopol Historical and Architectural Reserve «Scythian Neapolis» and the Archaeological Park «Ak-Kaya» in Belogorsky district.

5,190 archaeological sites are registered by the AR Crimea Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.
