Defense Minister received mandate to purchase fighter planes
Bulgarian Defense Minister Anyu Angelov announced for journalists at the Council of Ministers, that the government has given him mandate for negotiations for the purchase of fighter planes for the needs of the Bulgarian Air Force.
Minister Angelov is to report on the matter by March 2013. We need at least 8 machines, Angelov pointed out. The mandate contains so far no financial parameters. «We will talk money when considering the offers», – the Defense Minister said. The fighters will second-hand planes as the mandate of the government is for talks with a state that already has such equipment and not with a producer company.
