Turkey starts recognizing Bulgarian university diplomas

The chairperson of the Council for high education of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Gokhan Cetinsaya said that in the coming days the graduation diplomas of Bulgarian universities will start being recognized on the part of Turkish institutions

The issue was discussed during the recent visit of Bulgarian President Rossen Plevneliev to Turkey. In May Turkey suspended the recognizing of Bulgarian diplomas with the motif that a large part of them are faked. Sending Turkish students to Bulgaria was also suspended. Up to date all expressions, which until recently urged Turkish students to avoid Bulgarian universities, have been removed from the website of Education Council.
