Shoygu becomes head of CIS Council of Defense Ministers

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu has become the head of the CIS Council of Defense Minister at the 63rd session in Moscow, Lieutenant-General Alexander Sinaysky, press secretary of the council, said.

Shoygu was recommended for the position by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev. He will stay in office for three years.
