New Rompuy draft allots 260m euro to Kozlodui

The new draft tabled by the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy for the next seven-year budget of the European Union allocates more funding for the early closure of the Kozlodui N-Plant units.

Bulgaria has insisted on compensations worth 450m euro. The Rompuy proposed 185m euros a week ago as compensation for the four reactors, however following talks with the Bulgarian delegation in Brussels, he has increased the amount to 260m euro that should be paid to the country by 2020.
