Over 600 police officers killed in North Caucasus in 2.5 years

The Chief of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry in the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) Sergey Chenchik said at the opening of a police memorial that 623 police officers had died in the federal district in 2.5 years, Interfax reports.

Russian Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the NCFD Alexander Khloponin attended the opening and said that the memory of people fighting terrorism, extremism, drug addition, aggression will never be forgotten.
