Moldovan premier met new Hungarian ambassador

Prime Minister Vlad Filat met on November 7, 2012 the newly-appointed Hungarian ambassador to Moldova, Matyas Szilagyi, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.

Filat welcomed the envoy and thanked Hungary's leadership and people for their attitude towards and constant support for Moldova.

Filat noted that the Moldovan-Hungarian relations are on the rise.

Filat appreciated Hungary's support for Moldova's European integration process, as well as the contribution of ex-Hungarian Ambassador to Moldova György Varga to the development of relations between the two states.

For his part, Szilagyi thanked Filat for his willingness to meet, emphasizing that his appointment as Hungarian ambassador to Moldova is a responsibility for him.

Szilagyi reiterated Hungary's support for the consolidation of Moldova's statehood and integrity, as well as for its European aspirations.

Szilagyi noted that Hungary is ready to offer consultancy to Moldova in different fields.
