Moldovan Licensing Chamber launches new online service

The Licensing Chamber with the support of the E-Governance Centre on November 6 launched the public online service «e-license», in order to help businessmen to obtain licenses more easily and quickly.

The director of the Licensing Chamber, Valentin Guznac, said that starting November 6 entrepreneurs would be able to submit the needed documents from home, without being obliged to come to the Licensing Chamber, thus saving time and money. The Licensing Chamber will answer to the licence applicant in a maximum five-day term. The licenses will be delivered to beneficiaries via the state post enterprise «Posta Moldovei».

Prime Minister Vlad Filat said that the new service was part of the government's e-transformation agenda, which proposed that the state institutions provide accessible and quality services.

The director of the E-Governance Centre, Stela Mocan, said that the launch of the new public online service would help remove corruption and debureaucratize the system.

The Licensing Chamber issued 4,673 licences in January-October 2012.
