Turkish exports up by 21 % in September

Turkish exports were up by 21 percent in September 2012 compared to the same month of 2011.

Turkish statistics authority, TurkStat, released temporary foreign trade figures for September 2012.

Accordingly, Turkish exports were up by 21 percent to 13.01 billion U.S. dollars in September 2012 compared to the same month of 2011 while imports dropped by 6.4 percent to 19.3 billion U.S. dollars in the same month.

Foreign trade deficit decreased by 34.7 percent to $6.8 billion from $10.4 billion in September.

Exports coverage imports ratio was 65.6% in September 2012 while it was 50.7% in September 2011.
