Georgia to form cooperation group to return to Russian market

Georgian Minister for Agriculture David Kirvalidze said that one of the main topics of Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili’s working visits was return of Georgian products to the Russian market, Trend reports.

The PM plans to form a working group for cooperation with Russia. The minister noted Georgia may demand reconsideration of the ban on imports of its products in Russia as a WTO member. Russian Chief Sanitary Inspector Gennady Onishchenko said that Russia wanted to renew imports of Georgian products.

Russia banned Georgian products in 2006.
