Snow to be produced and stored in advance for Olympics-2014 in Sochi

This has been informed by Jean-Claude Killy, IOC Coordination Commission Chairman.

“Everywhere, where possible, the snow will be produced and stored in advance. Now the snow may be stored even for the whole summer and then used whenever required – for instance, for ski jumps, especially considering the fact that these competitions will be conducted at quite a low altitude, – Killy has noted. – The snow will be produced in advance and used as the need arises”.
