Moldovan citizens to benefit from EU visas' issuance facilities

Moldovan citizens will benefit from facilities when getting visas for the EU states. An agreement in this respect was ratified by the parliament on 12 October.

The parliament ratified at the October 12 meeting the agreement modifying the Moldova-EU agreement on the facilitation of the visas' issuance. The secretary general of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry, Mihai Capatina, presented the MPs the document.

According to the ministry's official, the current agreement extends the facilities of the visas' issuance for Moldovan citizens and expands the categories of Moldovan citizens eligible for tax exemption. He said the ratification of this document allows the simplification of the issuance of multiple-entry visas, inclusively for civilians, businessmen and students. The current document abolishes the visa regime for business passports' owners.

The agreement was ratified by the unanimous vote of the MPs present at the meeting.
